DB International is currently working with a number of major client organizations, contractors and consultancies throughout Hong Kong and the surrounding region to help fill key positions within these businesses.

One client in particular operating in the rail sector has recently given the green light to a major recruitment drive and as such are looking for a number of suitably qualified and experienced individuals across a range of different disciplines. Below is a selection of live vacancies currently on offer, however there will be more to come in the not too distant future.

Senior Engineer – Tunnelling
Reporting to the Tunnelling Manager you will manage and provide civil engineering support for the assigned construction contracts. You will ensure site safety, adopt appropriate methods of construction and maintain high quality standard for the works in compliance with all statutory requirements. You will recommend the approval of the temporary works designs, including excavation and lateral support for deep excavation, tunnelling and related structures, utilities and temporary traffic management schemes. You will also liaise with external parties including the community and Government departments on behalf of the Engineer’s Representative to facilitate granting of necessary approvals for implementation of the works.
You should be a Chartered Civil or Mining Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 12 years’ experience in heavy civil engineering construction, experience in TBM tunnelling and/or drill and blast construction is a must.

Senior Engineer - Civil
Reporting to the Civil Construction Manager you will manage and provide civil engineering support for the assigned construction contracts. You will ensure site safety, adopt appropriate methods of construction and maintain high quality standard for the works in compliance with all statutory requirements. You will recommend the approval of the Contractor’s work plans, method statements, material submission and testing proposals. You will also recommend the approval of the temporary works designs and temporary traffic management schemes. You will also liaise with external parties and Government departments on behalf of the Engineer’s Representative to facilitate granting of necessary approvals for implementation of the works.
You should be a Chartered Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 12 years’ experience in heavy civil engineering construction or infrastructure projects.

All appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
