My client, a well respected and large Construction company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their QLD division, based in Brisbane.  This is an exciting role, to drive business and strategy forward and will see you create and develop a business development plan reaching across various sectors including resources, mining, civil engineering and energy.

This newly created role has been driven by the success of the business over the last few years.  Reporting into the executive team, your role will be diverse and varied, with autonomy as to how you undertake your overall objectives of identifying opportunities and clients as well as maintaining existing business relationships.  Your primary role is to identify and maximise business opportunities in the QLD market, and to communicate positively to potential clients this company's breadth of experience and capabilities, supported by Technical Management within the business.

Your role will grow with your success, however, initially you will focus on developing and implementing a business development and marketing strategy and creating records and databases to record opportunities and clients.  This will then be used to formalise a strategy that will be managed and led by you.

Working within the Construction market, it is essential that you have experience within this sector, to have an understanding of the technical capabilities, but also to ensure you are able to communicate with prospective clients.  Ideally you will have relationships within EPCMs, resources or the Construction industry and should be confident in collating and executing bids and tenders.  You will have undertaken a Business Development role previously and  you will have excellent IT and communication skills.
