Our client is a leading contractor within the New Zealand infrastructure market and within a short space of time has delivered a number of nationally significant assets within the energy, transport, water, marine and environmental sectors.

With the market growing steadily they are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their Wellington based Infrastructure team immediately.

In this role you will be working across multiple projects ranging in value from $1 -$30million. You will be responsible for leading the project teams from establishment to project handover in line with the following key principles:

Ensuring a high level of safety awareness, ownership and compliance is in place on and around the project site at all times.
Managing any delays making sure they are analyzed, substantiated and mitigated. Also ensuring that the programme is current and that project completion is on time.
Monitoring subcontractor performance, ensuring records are thorough and that defects are minimal.
Ensuring contract and budget requirements are met through rigorous monitoring of subcontractor and supplier claims and purchasing.
 
You will have a minimum of 10 years experience managing large or complex projects within the Infrastructure environment and hold a relevant degree qualification. Previous project experience with waste water treatment, drainage, concrete form work and piling are essential, and strong experience with MS Project and/or Primavera also essential for this role.
