My client, a well respected main contractor has an opening for 2 Construction Managers in their QLD division.

This is an excellent opportunity for career development as the successful candidates will have 100% responsibility for a specific geographical location within QLD and will not only be responsible for project delivery, but will be expected to grow their regional business through networking and business development.

With Engineers reporting in to you, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering several projects at any one time with a cumulative value in the region of $30million.  These roles have been created to allow the Engineers to focus on project delivery and the newly created roles will have a focus on the live projects, but with a objective to grow each of the 2 regions to increase the turnover in these geographical parts of QLD.

Due to this, the 2 roles provide a real opportunity for the successful candidates to be fully responsible for their part of the region, which has the potential for significant growth over the next few years and will provide the right candidate to grow in experience and financial responsibility as the region grows with them.  You will report directly into the QLD State Manager and will have the support of others in the business and the brand name, but the autonomy to run the day to day operations of your specific part of the region.

Typical projects include a variety of infrastructure projects, including sub divisions and highway upgrades. Candidates should have worked for contractors operating in this field and will ideally be based in QLD and willing to travel on a daily basis within a few hours of Brisbane as this is where the 2 regions will be. 

Applicants should be an experienced Construction Manager that has worked for a small / mid tier previously and should have experience of running several projects concurrently, or has proven themselves as a Construction Manager on 1 project and would now like more responsibility.

Due to the current and projected workload, these roles are a priority for this contractor and they would like these 2 people in post within the next 1 - 2 months.
