With a company record going back over 50 years, my client is a leader in the Melbourne civil engineering market. Their experience in civil infrastructure includes highways, ports, bridges, and land development. They have recently won a significant project and there is a new opportunity for a Rail Civil Drafter to join their growing Melbourne Transport team.
The role involves the design of rail geometry and alignment, liaison with stakeholders within track, civil and structural projects. You will be the key rail drafter within the Melbourne civil team and work closely with the bridge and highways teams. You will also get the opportunity to work on highways, local roads, ports, bridges traffic intersections, sewers, water and land development.
To be successful in this role you need:
- Civil drafting experience
- AutoCAD experience essential
- Microstation experience would be a bonus
- Knowledge of Australian standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
You need to have a minimum of 3 years experience as a civil drafter using AutoCAD, and ideally have an Advanced Diploma of Civil Engineering. You'll need great communication skills and attention to detail.
