Design & Build are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified Project Engineers who are seeking a contract opportunity located in the south-eastern suburbs of metropolitan Victoria. Working within the Community Buildings Department as a Capital Works Project Engineer / Manager the successful candidate shall be tasked with managing a range of refurbishment and upgrade programs to various council buildings and community facilities. Duties will include but not limited to: - Preparation of project briefs
- Commission of design works
- Preparation of planning and building permit applications
- Tender documentation
- Supervise and monitor contractor performance
- Liaise with a range of stakeholders
Requirements include: - Previous exposure within a similar role, ideally local government
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive professional relationships
