This position has come about because of increased project numbers and subsequently the need to add to their staff numbers with the addition of a Design Draftsperson/Engineer. Prior experience of working with bulk haulage equipment would be an advantage.
The Role - Working as part of a small team
- Putting together CAD designs of the haulage equipment
- Produce drawings for mechanical structures using Solidworks.
- Using ePDM (Product Development Management software system)
- Participate with internal production meetings and liaise with customers on project requirements
The Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering background
- Solid design drafting experience
- Understanding and prior experience of fabrication and construction techniques
- Extensive 3D design experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Very strong Solidworks experience
- Must be able liaise with customers and suppliers
