Distribution Design Engineer - Newcastle, NSW
Due to continued growth, our client, a Transmission and Distribution Design Consultancy, are looking for a Distribution Design Engineer with prior experience in Distribution and sub-transmission projects in the region, to be based in Newcastle, NSW
Role Duties will include but are not exclusive to;
- Performing detailed design for Overhead and Underground Line Projects
- Contributing to Tenders and Proposals and helping to grow business in the region
- Overseeing Projects from concept through to Commissioning
- Client and stakeholder interfacing
- Development of fellow design team members
Experience required; - 2 years + experience in the power industry, specializing on similar projects concerning Transmission and sub-transmission towers and lines from between 11kV to 132kV.
- Consultancy or Utility based experience in Australia is essential.
- Previous experience with Poles 'N' Wires software is highly desirable
- Applied working knowledge of any of the following software packages; PLS-TOWER, PLS-POLE and PLS CADD would be highly regarded.
- Multiple sector experience including utilities, mining and power generation would be highly regarded.
- Extensive knowledge with pole configurations, clearance diagrams, insulator assemblies, OPGW assemblies, sag and tension tables and summary of materials.
- Level 3 ASP experience
