Our client is a global leader in full-service engineering, consulting, construction and operations. As a leader in Wastewater services globally our client provides a full spectrum of water infrastructure services, specializing in managing projects from conception to execution.  Due to involvement in a major Alliance project, there is an immediate need for an experienced Procurement Manager/Specialist to join a major water project to be based in NSW.

As the procurement specialist you will report to the procurement manager and will liaise with project engineering and construction staff to identify and develop procurement packages and strategies to deliver the projects. You will essentially be responsible for developing, controlling and managing strategic and operation procurement activities in line with the companies and alliances policies and objectives. You will have experience in leading tendering processes including establishing and manage project procurement schedules, in line with the design and construction program and manage the tender lifecycles.

You will have engineering qualifications (mechanical, electrical, civil) and 3-10 years + demonstrated procurement experience, preferably within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment. It is essential that you have experience in tendering for civil/structural/mechanical/electrical services for major construction contracts. Water industry experience is preferred as is experience working within the utilities sector including; industrial equipment, power and transportation.

This will be a hand’s on role where you will be involved in over $200M worth of projects. Ideally you will be based in NSW, however relocation and accommodation assistance will be offered for the right candidate. This position will commence in August with a duration of 12-18months +
