The Client They are a Steel Fabricator to the construction industry. They produce Security equipment for the Utilities, Infrastructure and Defence industries to name but a few. The Role Accountable for the successful planning, execution, monitoring and closure of each project assigned. Responsible for day to day commercial and progress management of project orders received by the business. Including: - Facilitating regular internal audits;
- Ensuring an effective implementation of the Integrated Management System
- Participating in surveillance audits;
- Implementing corrective actions resulting from the certification audit.
- Instigating and registering Department Internal QA inspections
- Establish scope of work in accordance with quotations,
- Obtain the project specification, documentation and visit the site as required.
- Manage project resources to achieve safety, quality, costs and time requirements
- Maximise profitability of assigned projects
- Recommend Strategic actions to assist in timely completion of projects
General Responsibilities: - Optimise project duration, safety and quality requirements
- Comply with company procedures and standards
- Project Plan, document and implement project activities
- Report up line and to relevant department managers
- Assist technical Sales with client inquiries
- Provide pro-active leadership and management
- Supervise trainee estimator / project managers
- Review and improve product systems and supporting documentation
- Assist Project Engineer with supervision of draftsmen, with consultation review and improve drafting procedures and standards.
The Person This role would suit a qualified Project Manager / Project Engineer with AutoCAD/Soildworks drafting experience that's interested in building a career in a unique industry. Ideally with experience within Fencing Systems, security projects and /or Construction, Metal Works projects including exposure to the construction industry and relative contracting companies.
