Design & Build are currently working on behalf of a metropolitan council who are currently seeking a Project Engineer for the next twelve months.  This immediate contract, working within the engineering and infrastructure services team, will see you perform a pivotal role in the project management of capital works projects for the department.  This will include the development of project documentation, management of the tender process, contract administration, management of external design consultants and construction contractors, financial control and reporting as well as management of key stakeholders. 
 
As the council’s Project Engineer you will also be tasked with preparing special charge or rate schemes, as required, in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1989 as well as carrying out investigations into infrastructure and drainage problems.
 
Requirements include:
 
·         Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
·         Previous experience working within local government
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·         Current Victorian driver’s license
