This week we are celebrating our superstar consultant, Denise Kostoulias’ 1-year anniversary with Design & Build. Throughout the last 12 months, Denise started a new desk within our Engineering team and has successfully managed to place candidates with 20 new clients due to determination and her strong work ethic.
Here she shares her achievements and highlights of the last 12 months and what’s in store for her in 2020…
So Denise, what would you say you have learned most throughout your 12 months at D&B?
I’ve learned that as long as you apply the Design & Build values to your day to day work no matter what you will get a positive outcome.
What’s been your proudest achievement so far?
Professionally, I would have to say my recruiter insider efforts. At this stage I have received over 120 reviews within 12 months from candidates and clients I am working with. I love that they’re taking time to give me feedback which helps me improve on my own internal process.
And personally, I was invited (forced) to go skydiving with the High Achievers crew at D&B and I have lived to tell the tale! (Proof in the photo below)
How has your role evolved?
My role has evolved by coming into the business with a cold area that hadn’t been targeted in the past to now being a thriving market where clients are choosing Design & Build as their preferred recruiter. I have gone from focusing on prospecting new business to being delivery-orientated for our respected partners.
What are some of your highlights from the year gone?
Honestly it would have to be simply joining this team. The culture here at Design & Build is fantastic and I’ve been lucky enough to make a few life-long friendships even with some people halfway around the world.
What’s in store for you in 2020?
Starting in 2020 I will be transitioning into a new team here at Design & Build as there was an opening to work in the thriving Commercial Construction space. I will be inheriting a desk which dates back to Andy’s (Managing Director) days in recruitment! I’m excited for the upcoming challenges next year and look forward to taking on a different market.
NSW State Manager, Kelly reflects on Denise’s soaring year with us…
“It has been a pleasure to work with Denise over the last 12 months. She is full of energy, always has a smile on her face and has an enviable work ethic! She is a consistent high achiever and genuinely cares about the welfare of her clients, candidates and colleagues alike.
Fondly known as DK… We look forward to the next 12 months working alongside you!”
