What a way to start 2021! A big congratulations to one of our super-star Melbourne construction consultants Lauren Rogers, who has been promoted to team leader. Despite only being at Design and Build for two years, Lauren has left a considerable mark on the business; she's arranged 323 client/candidate interviews, received over 177 Recruitment Insider candidate reviews with an average score of 95.83.
Not only do these achievements demonstrate why Lauren is so deserving of her joining the D&B leadership team but show why she is trusted by our key stakeholders; our clients, our candidates and our colleagues. We caught up with Lauren this week to find out a little more about why she chose Design & Build and what this promotion means to her.
Why Did You Join Design & Build?
I knew they had a strong reputation for being specialists in the construction industry and their vision to be the most trusted recruitment agency really resonated with me. I wanted to join a company that prioritise doing right by their candidates and clients which I believe D&B genuinely do. Working alongside a team of supportive and passionate individuals, where we can have a laugh in the office and celebrate success together is definitely important to me too.
"It’s a privilege for us to welcome Lauren to the leadership team at Design & Build. Having worked closely with Lauren over the last 18 months, what has become obvious is Lauren’s openness to feedback and to act on this. By acting on this feedback and most importantly, looking to always do right by clients, candidates and colleagues alike, Lauren has firmly positioned herself as a leader in the residential construction space and internally at Design & Build. Congratulations Rog."

What Does This Promotion Mean To You?
It's a really exciting time, especially after the year that has been. I'm grateful for the opportunity to further develop myself as a leader and mentor to my team, whilst still being hands-on with recruiting for my key clients in the residential market. The growth of the team will also ensure we can continue to provide the best possible service to our candidates and clients, which is something I'm very passionate about. 2021 is shaping up to be another big year for the industry, so I'm looking forward to kicking some goals with a great team around me!
‘’Whilst Lauren's promotion is recent, she has been demonstrating the traits of a genuine recruitment leader since I’ve known her. The lion’s share of her work is repeat business with leading businesses. Her clients know that to give a role to Lauren is to know that they will receive qualified, referenced, candidates who fit their brief. As well as being one of our top performers nationally, Lauren plays a very important role in the culture of our Melbourne office, demonstrating drive & care in all that she does.’’
Blair Hickman, State Manager for VIC/SA/WA
Where Do You Want To Take Your Career?
I hope to continue developing myself as a leader to grow a successful team, whilst still being a trusted consultant for my key clients and candidates in the residential construction space. There's still no better feeling than delivering a job offer, or letting your client know they've secured their ideal candidate - so hopefully lots more of that too!
Congratulations Lauren! Can't wait to see what you'll achieve for 2021.
