About the Role
As the Accounts & Payroll Manager for this major electrical contractor within commercial construction, you will report directly into the Finance Manager and partner closely with the Executive Team with the view to manage a team of finance administrators as the business continues through their period of growth. You will also have the opportunity to be an integral part of the executive team and provide financial insights to key stakeholders.
Your responsibilities as a Accounts & Payroll Manager will be split into two main verticals including;

Payroll (approx 100 staff)-
  • Managing weekly one touch payroll and timesheets for 100+ employees over multiple
  • construction sites
  • End to end payroll duties for 100+ employees
  • BAS Preparation
  • GL reconciliations
  • Payroll month ending reporting
  • Tax and audits procedures
  • Employee liaising and maintenance of employee files including managing all leave entitlements
  • Employee start-ups and terminations
  • Office of State Revenue Payroll Tax
  • PAYG withholding
  • Authorized payroll deductions

Accounts Payable-
  • Reviewing and verifying invoices for payment
  • Reconciliation and payment of end of month Creditor statements
  • Preparation of and assistance with end of month reporting
  • Resolving supplier queries in a timely manner
  • Filing and Archiving
About You
To be considered for this position you will have:
  • Substantial experience within a financial leadership role
  • Experience within the construction industry is ESSENTIAL
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance is ESEENTIAL
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • MYOB Proficient ESSENTIAL
  • MS Office suite proficient 
  • The ability to operate with complete discretion
