Job Description

Design and Build have partnered with an established national Engineering Consultancy delivering multi- disciplined engineering services to a variety of sectors.

We are seeking an Associate Structural Engineer to deliver multi-storey commercial, residential developments, health, education, and government projects. You will have a strong network and understanding of the local engineering and construction market in Melbourne. You will be keen to step into a senior position, supervising other engineers and technical staff and being a leader in acquisition and delivery of projects.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Senior Structural Engineer will include
  • Working closely with clients through continual liaison from conception to completion.
  • Deliver technically accurate, cost effective and optimum designs that address client objectives and expectations
  • Increasing brand awareness of the organisation to drive project growth using your network and market knowledge
  • Undertake strategic and speculative client meetings regarding projects and client relationship programs to gather intelligence and form project partnerships
  • Forming successful working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including company executives, engineering & technical staff, clients and client staff and cross sector / discipline leaders.
  • Develop and drive strategies for successfully entering new markets in line with the organisation’s strategy
  • Manage the selection and securing of bid & project partners
  • Providing technical leadership, mentorship, and advice to other engineers in the company and to client staff
To be considered for the role of Senior Structural Engineer, you will
  • Degree level accredited qualifications in a relevant Engineering field
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and delivery of structural services of major projects
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, with good influencing, motivating and delegation skills
  • Strong local network in Victorian building and construction market.
  • Strong technical capability & understanding to ensure quality service delivery
  • Preferably you will be recognised as a Chartered Engineer or Engineering Executive
