Job Description

Design and Build have partnered with an established engineering design consultancy with offices around the world. They focus on delivering building services engineering projects to a variety of sectors.

We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager to lead a team within Victoria. You will also be responsible for developing and improving current BIM methods and practices.  You will contribute to strategic direction within the local firm.

You have a strong background on local construction projects, demonstrated leadership communication skills and strong attention to detail. This BIM Manager role will have plenty of opportunity for career progression over time, within Australia but also internationally.

Day to day activities will include
  • Forming successful working relationships with a variety of stakeholders including local and global executives, engineering & technical staff, clients and client staff and cross sector / discipline leaders.
  • Working closely with BIM technologists and ensuring your training and upskilling your team
  • Develop and drive strategies for successful delivery of BIM Modeling function
  • Undertake drawing production and modelling activities for the Building Services team and provide modelling and coordination input on projects, both in the design and construction phases.
The successful candidates will have
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role working in a consultancy or contractor environment (8-10 years preferred)
  • Relevant software experience including BIM, Revit, AutoCAD, Naviswork
  • Demonstrated exposure on local building services projects 
  • You must be up to date with latest standards and practices
  • Previous experience or proven aptitude to manage a team
