Job Description

The Company:
Our client is a Tier 1 Electrical engineering firm with a very good reputation for working on some of the largest & most interesting projects in Melbourne. They work across multiple market sectors & are a leader in the fields of Electrical & Communications.

The Role:
The role of a BIM Modeler is integral to the VIC Electrical team. This role will be to facilitate, lead and coordinate the process of generating digital models and integrated data from the design stage to the construction stage.

•  Managing the BIM workflow and ensuring that any potential issues during modeling, clash detection and data conversion is dealt with efficiently.
•  BIM Coordination and electrical BIM lead
•  Managing drawing registers and submitting drawings to clients
•  Liaise with the project and engineering team to update, modify the model as required to meet project requirements.
•  Produce and develop 3D documentation in Revit MEP and AutoCAD
•  Clash detection and coordinate with other services using Navisworks

About you:
•  Experience in delivering project documentation to LOD400 or higher
•  3+ years’ experience as a BIM modeler
•  Extensive’ experience with BIM software in a building engineering environment
•  Experience in delivering MEP BIM Projects in Australia
•  Previous Project BIM Clash Detection and Coordination/Project Information
Management experience
