Job Description

In partnership with a client in the civil infrastructure industry we are looking a leader to join their business and take up the role of Civil Estimator

Due to sustainable and impressive growth since 2009, they have recently expanded their team resulting in the need for an Estimator
  
Our client is a award winning, multi disciplined civil infrastructure business with over 150 years of combined leadership experience in Civil Construction, Drainage, Maintenance and Pavement Construction, specializing in complete civil works, and infrastructure solutions across both regional and metropolitan road networks throughout WA. 
  
Some of the key responsibilities of the Estimator will include: -
  • An understanding and familiarity of civil works being tendered
  • Local knowledge of suppliers, vendors and subcontractors
  • Able to prepare and conduct budgets with a detailed handover
  • Find new opportunities to tender for in the open market and using local knowledge to discover potential opportunities
  • Being present for site briefings to obtain detailed pricing and information. 
 
 Skills and experience
  • Experience in estimating in Civil Construction and Civil Engineering.
  • Sound knowledge in preparing tendors with an ability to outsource subcontractor pricing. 
  • Proven history to work with a tight time schedule for contract submissions
  • Experience with the creation of take offs, cost budgets and schedules
  • An ability to work within a team and autonomously 
  • Knowledge of Pronamics Expert (Desirable).
