Job Description

My client is a construction contractor who specialises in building new schools. With a strong pipeline of work in Melbourne they are looking for a Contract Administrator with a background working for tier one or two businesses to join their team. 

As a Contract Administrator within the business, you will be responsible for ensuring the commercial success of projects. You will monitor and control budgets as well as handle financial reporting. You will handle all contracts ensuring that they are managed in an organised and methodical fashion allowing the project to run smoothly.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Preparation of subcontractor packages, scopes, lettings, procurement schedules
  • Progress claim assistance and external variations
  • Review, negotiation and finalisation of subcontracts
  • Management and tracking of project expenditure, inclusive of subcontractor claim
  • Administration of RFIs to clients, architects and consultants
  • Administration of the project HSE system
To be considered for the position you will require:
  • Degree qualified in construction management or equivalent
  • Experience working on school projects
  • At least three years' CA experience with a tier 1 or 2 employer
  • Knowledge of Melbourne construction market and subcontractors
  • Strong attention for detail and proven communication skills
