Job Description

Design and Build recruitment are proud to have partnered with Duratec an ASX listed project-based contractor with a national footprint, to assist in the procurement of a proactive and experienced Contracts Administrator.

The Role

The successful candidate will be based in Katherine NT and join the project team on the new aviation refuelling facility at the RAAF base, worth $110M. Reporting to the State Manager, the successful candidate will be largely responsible for the overall contract and commercial management of our Defence Projects.
  
Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
  • Forecasting costs and preparing reports
  • Provide commercial and contractual support for the project teams
  • Document Control, RFI’s Submittals, Transmittal and Variation Registers
  • Preparation of variation proposals in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  • Preparation/ negotiation/ letting of subcontract packages, and procurement scheduling
  • Negotiate, Monitor, Review, Analyse and Prepare subcontractor and supplier contracts
  • Update contract notices with variations, and existing contracts
  • Close out projects, administer Deeds of Release and Final Accounts
  • Identify areas of risk and exposure
  
About You
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Tertiary qualification in construction management, QS, Project Management or applicable
  • Relevant experience in a similar commercial role
  • Financial and accounts knowledge highly regarded
  • Sound understanding of risks and limitations within legal contracts relevant to the project
  • Ability to foster and maintain positive inter-office, external contractor and stakeholder relationships
  • Highly proficient in negotiation and conflict resolution
  • Strong Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving abilities
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on competency in Excel
