Job Description

The Company:

Our client is an international, multi-disciplinary consultancy with expertise across design, engineering, project management and advisory. They have a large pipeline of work, both current and upcoming projects and they're looking for a Design Manager  to join their team who specialises in Defence. 

The Role:

Working as a Design Manager in the Defence team, you'll be responsible for:
  • Design, development, management and delivery of building and infrastructure projects within the defence market 
  • Work collaboratively, lead and support a multi-disciplinary technical design team and the broader office
  • Become a key member in the leadership team of the defence sector
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience working in a consultancy environment across a range of projects, including Defence 
  • Ideally prior experience working on large scale industrial type buildings or infrastructure projects 
  • Experience working autonomously and alongside multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of engineers, architects, drafters etc.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal including report writing 
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications  
  • Must have or be able to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance at a baseline level or higher
