Job Description

Design Manager required for an Industrial Builder with projects across Sydney's Western region. Great opportunity for you to join a renowned Tier 2 builder that has a strong presence across Commercial and Industrial projects.

Our client is one of NSW's leading construction companies with a diverse portfolio of Commercial, Education and Industrial projects. They are active across NSW with a wide variety of projects up to $50M in value.

As the Design Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery of construction projects from inception to completion which will include:
  • Preparation of feasibility sketches
  • Design options and presentation drawings for potential clients
  • Procurement and contract administration 
  • Preparation of the design brief 
  • Relevant authority approvals 
  • Design coordination 
  • Managing/tracking the progress of state and local authority approvals
  • Coordination of consultants 
To be considered for the position of Design Manager you will require:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Design Management role 
  • Experience working on Industrial projects will be highly regarded
  • Ideally Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor experience 
  • Demonstrated experience in functional briefs, consultant scopes and engagements
  • Experience over various building types up to $50M in value
