Job Description

Design and Build recruitment are proud to have partnered with Duratec an ASX listed project-based contractor with a national footprint, to assist in the procurement of an E & I Project Engineer.
  
The Role

The successful candidate will be based in Katherine NT, and report directly to the Project Manager. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting the project team in all day-to-day operations and running of the construction projects. E&I Project Engineer’s with experience in inground services, electrical, instrumentation and controls systems are strongly desired.
Local Katherine candidates are encouraged to apply. For out of state applicants, a relocation opportunity exists with rent free accommodation, or there is an option to accommodate a DIDO 5:2 roster. Candidates who desire FIFO will be offered a 3:1 roster. 20% uplift (if not located in Katherine). Vehicle or car allowance included along with extensive learning and development opportunities.
  
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Planning and coordination of works, equipment and personnel
  • Compiling and creating QA/QC documentation
  • Coordinating direct labour workforce, suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Procurement activities
  • Programming and scheduling works
  • Quantity take-offs
  • Ensuring compliance with HSECQ requirements
About You
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary Qualification in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Post-Grad experience in a similar role within the building and construction industry
  • Ability to positively influence, develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to self-manage workload
  • Sophisticated problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Capability to prioritise and manage deadlines
  • Genuine passion and desire for the safety of others
