The Company:

My client are a successful home builder in Melbourne's inner suburbs who cover new home builds inclusive of custom homes. Due to a strong pipeline of work they are seeking a Senior Estimator to step up into the role of Estimating Team Leader looking after 4 production estimators.

The Job

The Building Estimating Team Leader is responsible for purchase order accuracy, Building team support, delivery of accurate files, daily operations and workflow of the knockdown rebuild Building Estimating team.
  
They play a key role in protecting our margins, by providing guidance, training, support, and development to the Building Estimating team. This is achieved by ensuring the team produces quality, accuracy & consistency of purchase orders with minimal margin erosion. This role will assist in driving ETO reduction across the business by working with the department leaders to identify root cause and remove the erosion.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • High levels of Emotional Intelligence – Able to understand your impact on others and how to get the best out of your team and self
  • Proven Stakeholder management capability
  • Proven Estimating system management
  • Proven delivery of cost management enhancements
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant qualification and/or Building degree
