Job Description
The builder
The client is an Australian owned, family orientated builder who's office is based in Campbellfield. Working in the residential and commercial sector, they work on projects varying from new builds to alterations and maintenance of buildings across VIC. The builder prides itself of their strong family values, and retaining staff through personal development, challenging projects and their ability to work on numerous projects concurrently - No two projects are the same.
The role:
The ideal candidate will come from either a junior estimation role or a post-graduate from a construction related degree with a goal to develop into an estimator. The client is looking for someone to progress and is willing to train the right person to succeed within the business.
The responsibility of the post holder will include:
- Estimation and cost planning of projects ranging from $5000K to $5M in both the residential and commercial sector
- Tender preparation
- Contract administration of projects
- Dealing with trades and arranging quotes
- Liaising with clients
- Reporting to the Director
To be considered for the role of Estimator you must:
- Have a construction related degree
- Have prior experience in a similar role with the desire to develop their career as an estimator.
- Have strong cost management skills
- Be confident in building relationships with key stakeholders including clients, subcontractors and internal teams
- Be skilled at interpreting technical drawings
- A 'team player' mentality.
- The desire and drive to learn and develop their career.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a salary of $80,000 to $100,000 package depending on experience. This is a full time, permanent position.
