Job Description

Our client is a prestigious financial institution with a national presence. They own and manage a diverse set of premium assets including critical infrastructure, heritage sites and A grade assets across NSW the ACT.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Facilities Manager who will be based in their Sydney's head office. This presents an opportunity for a proven FM professional to join this company at a time where they are experiencing exciting and significant change. This role will see you overseeing a team of 10 whilst managing and overseeing the operation and occupation of their buildings and being responsible for all facets of managing these assets including maintenance, asset renewal and some exciting major works. 

The key responsibilities of the Senior Facilities Manager will include;
  • Providing control and oversight of maintenance delivery and contractor management
  • Stakeholder management and providing high level advice
  • Formulating and managing annual property budgets including OPEX & CAPEX
  • Presenting commercially sound business cases, cash flow analysis and recommendations for property and facility related works proposals
  • Supporting day to day operations of the institutions facilities, including management of preventive and corrective maintenance, minor works, breakdown repairs, tenant liaison and fit-out management aligned with compliance and strict operational requirements
The successful Senior Facilities Manager will have;
  • Superior stakeholder management skills
  • Effective team management skills, with prior demonstrated experience building and mentoring teams
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 55000 standards for Asset Management
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in facilities management and building services operations in managing a portfolio of properties in excess of 20,000 sq metres of NLA, including critical operations infrastructure facilities
  • Practical knowledge and extensive experience in property related commercial matters and managing facilities contracts
  • Practical knowledge of property related compliance including Work Health and Safety
