IT Infrastructure Delivery Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Infrastructure Delivery Engineer to join a world leading, cutting edge pharma business, working on a highly interesting project. The position will be based in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and is for an initial period of 12-months.
Job Description:
Working closely with the Manufacturing Infrastructure Delivery Architect and the local manufacturing/engineering automation teams, this role provides support for local manufacturing infrastructure delivery projects. 

You will support the creation of designs through the build phase, including ensuring solutions are built to specification and assist in service transition as needed. 

With a good understanding of Infrastructure and execution systems, you will lead/drive the provision of Infrastructure related support, continuous improvement and project initiatives to these areas by working closely with the relevant Infrastructure pillars and cross functional I&T teams.
  • This role reports into the Head of Manufacturing Infrastructure Delivery.
  • Support the infrastructure delivery for secure integration of computerized systems into the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation environments
  • Provide troubleshooting support for complex infrastructure issues within the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation environments.
  • Participates in project meetings as required to ensure project scope, cost, schedule and quality are in alignment.
  • Support the infrastructure delivery for secure integration of computerized systems into the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation environments
  • Support formal quality processes, following the company’s Quality Management System (change management, documentation, qualification/validation etc.) for I&T Infrastructure supporting GxP or non GxP systems and processes within the manufacturing/engineering automation environments to ensure Quality/Compliance KPIs are met
  • Support internal/external audits focused on I&T Infrastructure systems/platforms within the local site’s manufacturing/engineering automation environments
  • Working collaboratively with internal employees, vendors, and consultants to effectively implement infrastructure components. Develops and maintains mutually productive relationships in the workplace. Leverages a network of key contacts within and outside the Technology area for the benefit of the team.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Infrastructure changes are managed and implemented in compliance with company procedures
  • Manage expectations and communications with key stakeholders in Execution System teams and Information & Technology
Experience and Qualifications:
The Ideal Candidate will possess:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; educational concentration in a computer-based discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems) or a technical discipline (e.g. Engineering) is required
  • 7+ years’ experience in IT Infrastructure, preferably in the support of Manufacturing Execution Systems, is required.
  • Expert level of knowledge with industry standard operating systems, compute, storage area networks, virtualization and networking technologies are required.
  • Experience with PLC and SCADA manufacturing and automation systems such as Siemens, JAG, Werum,etc. (not needed but highly advantageous)
  • Good understanding of security principles, for IT, but also for manufacturing/engineering systems (e.g., IEC62443), is desirable
  • Experience with GxP Quality requirements and processes for IT and manufacturing/ engineering automation systems is preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience (highly advantageous)
  • Demonstrated ability to work across a range of countries, cultures and time zones.
