Job Description

An opportunity has opened with an national design studio. Our clients specialize in creating functional multidisciplinary spaces.  They are looking for someone that shares the same passion for design and enjoys creating spaces that bring people together. Our client is expanding across the country, and they are wanting to grow the Brisbane team.  This role will give the experience to be hands-on, and be mentored by some great senior interior designers, as well as the opportunity for career progression.
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Be a part of creative projects, pitching, and work alongside some superb Senior interior designers who will mentors you to become a successful interior designer.
  • Develop designs that suit both the client and the characteristics of a building or space
  • Help with the preparation of all design submissions and documentation, coordinating with senior designers and additional design support may be required
  • Meeting with clients and other tradespeople.
  • Developing designs according to a brief that are functional, appealing, and appropriate for the space
  • Using design software to create floor plans, 3D models, visuals, and presentation submissions
  • Ensure all designs proposed are compliant and work towards ‘best practice’
   REQUIREMENTS:
  • Mid-level with at least 2+ years’ experience
  • Experience in all aspects of the project – concept design/documentation/ on-site collaboration with trades
  • Exposure to or interest in sports is advantageous
  • excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • strong ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • creativity, imagination, and artistic flair
  • strong communication and listening skills
  • good colour sense and an eye for detail
  • an aptitude for illustration and technical drawing
  • excellent problem-solving skills
  • an understanding of building construction
  • presentation confidence and skill
  • proficiency in Revit, Sketchup, and Adobe Creative Suite
