Job Description

I have multiple Mining Engineering opportunities for Greenfield and Brownfield operations across open-cut coal in QLD. 

I am looking for the following 

Mining Engineer - Dragline 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
  • Vulcan and 3DDig software proficiency 
  • Ability to assess mining conditions effectively
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Minimum 2 years mining experience 
  • Experience with Minvu and Hexagon Systems (desirable)
  • Spry Software understanding (desirable)
  • Familiar with Pagasys (desirable)
Mining Engineer - Drill & Blast
  • Shotfirers license 
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Mining Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years mining experience 
  • All Units of competency recognised by the Advisory Council for Supervisors (RIIRIS301A, RIIOHS301A, RIICOM301A)
  • All core units of competency as required by coal mine workers (RIIOHS201A, RIIGOV201A, RIIRIS201A, RIICOM201A)
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Frontline Management (desirable)
  • RIIBLA601A Design Surface Blasts (desirable)
Mining Engineer - Truck & Shovel 
  • Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering
  • Ability to achieve mine management qualifications eg S1,2,3
  • Vulcan and Microsoft Office skills
  • Ability to assess mining conditions effectively
  • Advanced computer skills to enable detailed mine planning outcomes
  • Minimum 2 years mining experience 
  • 3d-Dig (desirable)
  • XACT (desirable)
  • Minvu Monthly Reporting (desirable)

Mine Planning Engineer (Medium - Long Term planning)
  • Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering
  • 5 years open cut mining engineering experience, with experience in terrace mining, drill and blast and truck shovel planning
  • Greenfield coal mine development
  • Ease in usage of mine and scheduling design tools such as Minescape, Spry, XPAC, AutoCAD, Microsoft suites. Strong ability in excel, and Spry and VB scripting would be advantageous
