Job Description

Design and Build have been tasked with searching for an experienced OH&S officer for a fast-growing Civil Contractor in Melbourne. The Major Roads Project is based in the South East, where you will be working full time. You will be responsible for all aspects of ensuring the Companies full compliance with all Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental legislation and legal obligations.

Responsibilities include:

Daily site inspections basis to identify and rectify safety breaches and potential hazards.
Attend and contribute to the site safety committee meetings and follow up agreed actions.
Induct all trade contractor site personnel and site personnel in site-specific requirements.
Monitor all safety records and ensure filing is kept up to date.
Promote safe work practices during the Construction process

Essential requirements:

Minimum of Cert IV in OH&S (Diploma preferred)
Previous experience working on MRPV or VicRoads projects
4+ years of experience working across civil engineering projects
A solid understanding of Health & Safety
A can-do attitude and willingness to learn
