Job Description
To support current & future projects, they are looking for a Plant Technician from a mechanical background to join the team
As a Plant Technician you will be part of the Construction & Maintenance team that provides support across a number of their water treatment facilities. It's a dual role that offers a diverse environment and opportunity to travel
If you have a trade background and experience in operating water treatment projects - this is not one to be missed!
The responsibilities of the Plant Technician are
- Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the water treatment plants
- Undertake water sample collection and basic laboratory analysis
- Carry out repair and maintenance works to water treatment assets
- Comply with all OHS procedures and requirements
- Travel to various sites (typically unsupervised) and report back to management on plant status and any issues
- Trade background (Mechanical or Fitter))
- At least 3 years’ experience in the wastewater, water, petrochemical or other automated industry incorporating PLC /DCS technology)
- Excellent people skills and communication
- Willingness to travel and work away for short period of time as required
- Valid drivers license
