Job Description

My Client an industry leading Energy Provider is looking for a Lead Process Engineer to join their team based in Brisbane and together help power a cleaner, smarter energy future for Australia. They are recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA). Re-locations and remote working is accepted! 

The Role:
The aim of this role is to provide technical process leadership and technical expertise to support decarbonising operating assets to achieve safe, reliable and compliant operations. The role also provides technical support and review for the process activities associated with new project development and operational changes for decarbonised / green / renewable projects!

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead, guide and mentor a team of enthusiastic industry specialists
  • Implement systems, processes, standards and assurance plans
  • Promote an innovative, inclusive and diverse culture
  • Be the technical authority on Process Engineering for Hydrogen and Amonia projects
  • Drive a culture of safety first!
About you:
To be successful in this role you will need to be driven, energetic and have proven ability demonstrating strategic direction as well as technical support, this role is suited to an experienced process professional who has previously worked in complex operating environments.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or equivalent in Chemical Engineering
  • Tertiary qualifications in chemical/process engineering across hydrocarbon and petrochem industries
  • 10+ years experience as a Process Engineer
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and confidence to challenge and communicate ideas and concerns to management
  • In depth knowledge of process equipment that is used in a hydrocarbon, chemical and oil and gas environment
  • Demonstrate previous leadership experience across similar projects
  • In depth knowledge of processes, codes and standards for the design, build and operation of hydrogen facilities
