Job Description

If you're located around the Newcastle/Hunter Valley region or willing to relocate there, I'd love to hear from you!

Due to a recent growth period, this Sydney based Tier 2 civil contractor are looking to appoint a Project Engineer to assist them on multiple sub-division projects valued up to the $20 million mark around the Newcastle/Hunter Valley region.

The client has made quite a name for themselves, working alongside some of the country’s largest private developers and government organisations with a proven track record for delivering large residential and commercial projects on time, to budget and to the highest quality

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Design management and coordination
• Client coordination and liaison
• Tendering
• Budget Estimate and reporting
• Site Establishment and planning
• Construction coordination and management
• Site variation and design change
• Payment claims.
 
To be considered for the role of Project Engineer you will require:
 
• Relevant civil engineering qualifications
• Proven industry experience on civil engineering projects in Australia (minimum 2 years)
• The ability to report accurately & directly to the Project Manager
• Proven experience managing sub-contractors with programming and supervision
• Strong negotiating skills to implement contracts with sub-contractors and suppliers to satisfy budgets, quality, safety and time requirements.

This is a permanent role with a view to move up the ranks and grow within the company.
