Job Description

Design & Build are delighted to be supporting Goodman in their search for a Project Manager - Infrastructure based out of their offices in Port Melbourne. This is a genuine opportunity to join a world leader and take on responsibility in delivering numerous high profile civil infrastructure projects.

The Project Manager - Infrastructure will be responsible for controlling and managing all aspects of assigned infrastructure projects including, consultants, contractors, documentation, contracts, approvals, programming, quality, variations, risk and financial aspects to deliver to expectations.

Key responsibilities of the Project Manager include: -
  • Managing all aspects of planning, design and approvals process in order to execute and handover infrastructure works
  • Scoping, Negotiating, Completing Precinct Infrastructure / Works in Kind (WIK), including all contract, pricing, administration, delivery and handover
  • Preparing, reviewing and managing the project budgets, cost plans and programme and ensure the project is delivered within timeframe and cost projections
  • Scoping, tendering, negotiating and engaging all consultancy services and infrastructure contractors required for each project
  • Preparing and presenting Monthly Project Cost Reports, PCG Reports and associated meetings
To be considered for the role of Project Manager you will possess: -
  • Extensive experience as a project manager or in a similar role as a Contractor side site engineer/ Project Engineer/ Design Manager
  • Demonstrated experience managing Infrastructure Projects, Road, Services, Regional Infrastructure, Drainage / Floodways, large scale subdivision
  • Strong contractual background with excellent negotiation skills and the ability to achieve desirable outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience in large scale civil projects with exposure to authority and community engagement, complaint handling, environmental regulations and state compliance requirements
