Job Description

We are currently working with a privately owned civil contractor who are currently seeking a Project Manager to join on a permanent basis.

  • Taking responsibility for the project management of individual or multiple projects, driving project performance and service delivery.
  • Providing effective leadership, direction and championing a quality culture, ensuring quality assurance systems are appropriately applied.
  • Monitoring, modifying, and forecasting the commercial performance of projects and reporting to the business on a monthly basis.
  • Liaising with business units to ensure projects are adequately resourced to deliver to project requirements.
  • Managing effective client and stakeholder relationships to secure repeat work.
  • Directing the assessment, selection and management of suppliers, sub-consultants and contractors associated with projects and coordinating the execution of contracts; and
  • Assisting with bidding and tendering as required. 
  • Be accountable for budget and on-time delivery of the project.
  • Be able to read and interpret plans and detailed specifications.
  • Overseeing WH&S compliance
  • 3+ years' experience as PM or similar
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects and activities
  • Knowledge of all construction methodologies and procedures and ability to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
  • Proven client management, liaison and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, team management and people skills
  • System orientated person with advanced computer skills
  • Ability to read and create drawings, reports, engineering documents and specifications
  • Administrative capability to manage Quality, OHS&E and company documentation
  • Administrative capability to manage cost control, pricing and scheduling
  • Neat & tidy professional appearance and pleasant manner
