Job Description

The RAMS Engineer, reporting to the Systems Assurance and RAMS Manager will incorporate RAMS management throughout the entire lifecycle of project development. Will Establish system requirements with regard to reliability, availability, maintainability and safety taking in account all project requirements and FRA guidelines.
Under the guidance of the System Assurance and RAMS manager, will be in charge o the development of all the RAMS related Plans, and ensure these are applied by the other project participants.
Also will act as intermediary between the project and the Safety related authorities (ISA...).
Will Perform RAM and Safety Analyses, FMEA and FTA to identify faults within the systems and operations.
Additionally will ensure that the RAMS requirements are incorporated in the Requirements management system and taken in account in the whole lifecycle of the project.
You will also provide assessment and guidance when required.
Responsibilities:
  • Incorporate RAMS management throughout the entire lifecycle of project development
  • Establish system requirements with regard to reliability, availability, maintainability and safety taking into account all project requirements and FRA guidelines
  • Collaborate to prepare reports and presentations with statistical data related to the status of the RAMS Management   
  • Development of all the RAMS related Plans
  • Ensure the RAMS requirements are taken into account and incorporated to the Requirements Management System
Requirements: 
  • Proven Experience as RAMS engineer of, at least, 5 years
  • Proven Knowledge of fail-safe, vital and redundant design principle
  • Knowledge in systems assurance processes
  • Knowledge of quality and verification and validation procedures
  • 5 years experience with following techniques: FMECA, FTA, PHA, Hazard Logs
  • RAMS relevant standards (IEEE-1483, MIL-882, IEC-61508, MIL-217)
  • Knowledge of BIM methodologies
  • Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
  • Preferred experience in Railway projects of 3 years
  • Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Engineering Diploma
