The Company:

My client are successful family owned home builder, specialising in building lifestyle communities and transportable homes across Victoria. With a strong pipeline of projects upcoming, they have been growing quickly as a business and are looking to add an experienced estimator to their tight-knit team based in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.

The team boasts impressive tenure amongst their staff, with a relaxed and supportive environment. If you are looking to work for a smaller builder close to home in the Eastern Suburbs, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The Role:

Reporting the the Estimating Manager, the responsibilities will include:
  • Completing estimating take-offs and creating BOQs using Databuild
  • Contributing to the development of the costing systems & inventory
  • Reviewing and documenting amendments on architectural drawings, engineering and detailed working drawings
  • Ensuring margins are maintained throughout the job cycle
  • Liaising with site supervisors, subcontractors and suppliers 
About You:
  • Diploma of building or equivalent construction based tertiary qualification is essential
  • A minimum of 3+ years previous experience in residential estimating 
  • Advanced Databuild skills 
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy 
  • Strong communication skills and a great team player
