Job Description

My client is a leading construction company with a solid reputation in the marketplace. Specialising in Government Defence projects and remediation works across a range of blue-chip clients.
Due to continuous growth and ongoing company developments we are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join there team. This is a great time to be part of something exciting !! 
Reporting to the Director and General Manager this role will focus on projects ranging from 2 million up to 20 million and predominantly Government Defence projects.
In this role you will be responsible for:
  • Managing the EOI/Tender Bid process;
  • Manage the bid plan;
  • Draft and prepare bid documentation;
  • Act as the central contact during the development of EOI, RFI and tender submissions;
  • Responsible for developing, reviewing and editing proposal content;
  • Prepare tender requirements and monitor progress during the preparation process;
  • Overall project management of a qualified Bid/Opportunity from qualification to close including customer contract signature and effective handover to operations;
  • Manage and coordinate the writing and compilation of expression of interest and request for tender documents;
  • Support the Director and General Manager to suggest and implement improvements to the tendering process, documentation and systems as required;
  • Project Manage all bid related activities to ensure completion according to agreed time frames;
  • Coordinate and compile the tender submission;
  • Attend Government briefing meetings;
  • Conduct start up ongoing bid management meetings;
  • Write the methodology content for all the tender submissions;
  • Facilitate effective and constructive collaboration and communication with the contract’s administrator, estimator and the project team;
  • Work with templates in the preparation of bid and proposal documents;
  • Final production and submission of documents;
  • The successful candidate will have:
Other Skills Required: 
  • Qualifications in construction, project management, engineering or similar;
  • Experience working as a Proposal or Bid Writer in the Construction Industry;
  • Experience in Bid Management would be highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and submissions (ideally for Commonwealth Government tenders);
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills;
  • Advanced MS Office skills;
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Ability to respond quickly to change;
  • The ability to work on multiple submissions concurrently;
  • Advanced time management skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
