Job Description

This is a cracking opportunity with one of our leading clients for a Senior BIM / Civil Structures Drafter to join their Sydney Design Team on major national transport projects.

The role has come about off the back of some pretty good and sustained growth / project wins.

Duties and responsibilities to include:
  • Undertake drafting across structural and bridge design projects, including but not limited to temporary and permanent works design.
  • Efficiently utilise specialist structural drafting/CAD software including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Transfer information clearly and coordinate drafting-related tasks with Design Engineers (both in-house and external resources). Flexibility due to time difference with other offices is required.
  • Work within the Design Team to conceptualise structural solutions.
  • Actively develop and maintain drafting procedures and standards for drafting team.
  • Allocate work packages efficiently among the drafting Team.
About you:
  • Revit & AutoCAD 2D and 3D drafting with minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Experienced in structural steel detailing essential (including welding symbols, bolted splices, platforms)
  • Experienced in reinforced concrete detailing essential (including bar bending schedules)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all facets of work and thorough checking attitude.
  • Good communication skills, ability to work effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Work well in a team, assisting team members to successful task completion.
  • Honest and trustworthy, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.
