Job Description

This position will suit a driven Senior going on Principal level engineer who has a diverse background across Structures for infrastructure projects, mainly focusing on Bridges.

The role will be technical go to for the client, liaising in project offices with Contractors and RMS/TfNSW. This isn't a hands on design role but does need someone who has done that in the past. The role is more in line with Project Management and technical oversight.

The role is broader than just bridge engineering but the candidate we are looking for will need to have bridge design experience in NSW as well as other structural engineering experience. What is critical is someone with very good knowledge of AS5100 and RMS Technical Directions and Specifications.

In the role of Senior Civil Structures Engineer You will;
  • Lead, project manage and undertake assignments in Australia and Globally
  • Deliver engineering solutions and report results
  • Undertake structural design and analysis using across a broad range of structural types and using various international standards
  • Coordinate design as part of an internal team and liaise with external associated professionals and our clients
  • Carry out peer reviews, to ensure consistency and excellence in delivery of our technical work product
  • Manage client relationships
  • Act as a line manager with involvement in resourcing, recruitment, training and mentoring and coaching
To be considered for the role of Senior Civil Structures Engineer, you will require:
  • Experience across a range of bridge projects ideally in NSW, must have worked on RMS projects
  • Relevant tertiary engineering qualification
  • The ideal candidate will be Chartered with Engineers Australia
  • Working knowledge of structural processes and design, with particular emphasis on data interpretation, design and analysis, construction and advanced numerical modelling
  • Computer analysis of structures and design of structural elements in common materials (steel, concrete, composite, fibre reinforced concrete and CFRP)
  • Structural analysis/finite element software and familiarity managing projects with 3D BIM
  • Managing projects, with a track record of delivering for your clients
