Job Description

 Contract awards are up and 2021 is looking to be a bumper year for new projects and with it, an increasing number of job opportunities

This civil contractor have been at the top of the game for some time and are offering the chance  for a Senior Project Engineer to join the team and oversee the delivery of newly awarded water & sewer packages of work across their projects - which includes on major infrastructure projects as well as on the Sydney Water P4S programme

Responsibilities of the Senior Project Engineer include:
  • Project planning, scheduling, cost control and budgeting
  • Project management of utility and civil construction projects
  • Recruitment, training and mentoring of staff
  • Ongoing and direct communication with the client 
  • Playing a lead role in an ambitious company that has sustained growth through their years in civil construction. 
 Requirements for the Senior Project Engineer include:
  • Degree qualification in relevant field
  • Civil project management experience for a civil contractor on civil projects ranging from $1-10m
  • Proven experience in the utilities and water sector
  • Sydney Water experience highly regarded
  • Ability to articulate understanding of commercial implications on civil projects
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills showing ability to take more senior role over time
