Job Description

Our client is one of Australia's leading Tier 2 construction companies with a diverse portfolio of commercial, education, health & government projects and a strong pipeline of upcoming work over the coming years.

Due to a recent influx on awarded projects, our client is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager with fitout and refurbishment experience. Our client would also consider Site Managers who come from commercial construction background.

Roles & responsibilities:
  • Effective onsite management of all site resources including subcontractors, trades, staff and equipment
  • Delivery of projects safely, efficiently and effectively through meeting the project success criteria’s of stakeholder relationships, time, cost, quality, safety and process compliance
  • Lead, manage and mentor team members to achieve their full potential and ensure behaviours are aligned with company values
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Supervise and coordinate all site activities including labour
  • Ensure effective planning and communication of all activities
Desired experience:
  • Trade background 
  • Previous experience working for a head contractor is essential 
  • Experience working on commercial fitout, refurbishment or new build projects valued up to $20m
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager working on construction projects in Sydney
  • Proven experience of effectively managing a team including sub-contractors, in a professional manner and ensuring longevity of relationships.
  • Good understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements, has proven experience of effectively controlling site safety
