Job Description


Design and Build are working on behalf of a leading commercial builder who specialize in education and government projects. They have an immediate need for an experienced site manager  to take over a $12M new build school project in Footscray and are looking for their next site manager to manage the project from start to finish. 

They are well known for completing projects to a high standard, on time, and on budget, and have recently won an excellent pipeline of work which will continue into 2022. 



ROLE:

Reporting to the Site Manager and Project Manager you will be tasked to deliver education and government projects such as schools, sports pavilions and community centers across Melbourne. 

Duties include:
  • Programming and coordination of subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
  • Liaison with the CA to identify variations & claims
  • Maintaining & developing rapport between site teams, internal and external consultants
  • Ensure health & safety standards on site
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure programs & budgets are adhered to
YOU:

To be considered for this role you will have:
  • Worked as site supervisor on education projects in excess of $10m from initiation to completion 
  • Strong understanding of new build construction techniques
  • Ability to build strong relationships and liaise with subcontractors to achieve best outcomes for the project
  • Good working knowledge of programming projects & ability to read plans
  • Experience in working in a fast paced environment
  • trade background highly regarded
