Job Description

This well-regarded Defence Contractor is a preferred supplier in delivering construction and refurbishment works to defence projects across the country. They have been operating for several years and employ over 1000 people on a national scale.

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of defence upgrade projects based in Townsville. This role will see you lead a team and also liaise closely with The Department of Defence.

As the Site Manager you will be responsible for:
  • Management and leadership for the co-ordination of trades, direct labour and materials
  • Liaison between Engineers, Senior Management and Architects
  • Ensuring that problems are resolved and all personnel on-site adhere and maintain a high standard of Health & Safety.
  • Driving project to completion on time, to quality and under budget 
To be considered for the role of Site Manager you will require:
  • Clearance and proven experience delivering government projects is highly advantageous
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is pivotal to the role as clearance cannot be obtained for any other residency status 
  • Tertiary qualifications or carpentry certificate
  • Experience in delivering projects valued at up to $10M
