Job Description

My client is Structural & Civil Engineering firm working across Residential & Commercial projects providing builders and insurers with insurance reports and SOW nationwide. A large amount of their work relates to existing buildings that have been damaged by fires, tree impacts and vehicle impacts.
  
About the role:
  • Prepare causation reports on defects and damage to buildings and associated structures
  • Prepare scope of works and specifications in accordance with Australian Standards and Building Code of Australia
  • Perform Structural Design of Timber, Steel and Concrete structures utilising suitable design software
  • Prepare Structural Drawings utilising AutoCAD Software
  • High level of attention to detail in all technical aspects
What you'll have to be successful:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Forensic/Remedial Engineer within a Consulting Engineering Firm
  • Civil/Structural Engineering qualification 
  • Experience with Insurance works and exposure to Strata
  • Residential Project experience
  • Skilled in AutoCAD drafting 
  • Proven experience interpreting structural behaviour
  • Prior experience in analysis and designing a range of structures
  • Ability to travel interstate as required
