A well-respected commercial construction builder based in Sydney’s CBD is seeking a part-time Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit finance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high-volume, fast-paced environment supporting a busy accounts function.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team across accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring the smooth processing of a high volume of transactions.
This is a permanent part-time position (3 days per week, pro rata salary), in a fully office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a high-volume AP/AR function
- Monitoring and responding to the accounts inbox
- Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
- Uploading invoices and payment batches to the banking system
- Allocating payments and reconciling accounts
- Assisting with accounts receivable processes including collections and allocations
- Supporting payroll processing tasks as required
- Maintaining accurate financial records within the ERP system
- Working with Jobpac (or similar systems such as Cheops) to manage financial data
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve discrepancies
- Assisting with month-end processes and general accounts administration
- Previous experience in a high-volume Accounts Assistant / AP & AR role
- Experience within the construction industry highly regarded
- Exposure to Jobpac or similar ERP systems (e.g., Cheops) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Confident communicator who is polite, team-oriented, and approachable
