We have a client are who is seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team. This opportunity is ideal for someone with around five years of Contract Administration experience who has started to gain exposure to project management responsibilities and is looking to accelerate their career into a broader delivery-focused role.
Working closely with senior leadership, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between site and office, helping drive projects from procurement through to completion while ensuring strong commercial and operational outcomes.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role that combines project delivery, stakeholder management and commercial administration. You will be involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle, supporting site teams while managing the critical documentation, procurement and financial components required to successfully deliver projects.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable walking a site, coordinating subcontractors and consultants, as they are managing contracts, variations, reporting and project administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the end-to-end delivery of construction projects.
- Act as the link between site operations and office-based project functions.
- Manage subcontractor procurement and contract administration processes.
- Prepare and assess variations, progress claims and cost reports.
- Coordinate consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
- Support project programming and delivery milestones.
- Monitor project budgets and assist with financial forecasting.
- Ensure project documentation and compliance requirements are maintained.
- Provide commercial and operational support to Project Managers and site teams.
About You
- Approximately 5 years' experience as a Contract Administrator within the construction industry.
- Exposure to Project Management responsibilities or a strong desire to move into a project delivery role.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of construction contracts.
- Ability to build relationships with site teams, subcontractors and clients.
- Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
- Proactive, solutions-focused and eager to take ownership of project outcomes.
- Experience across industrial projects will be highly regarded.
