Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and project objectives.
- Produce detailed architectural designs, drawings, and documentation using ArchiCAD.
- Prepare and coordinate documentation for council approvals, including Development Applications (DA), Complying Development Certificates (CDC), and Construction Certificates (CC).
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building codes, planning requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
- Liaise with engineers, consultants, builders, and other project stakeholders throughout the design and construction process.
- Develop innovative and practical design solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality, and buildability.
- Attend site inspections and project meetings to monitor progress and resolve design-related matters.
- Relevant qualification in Building Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Building Designer, Architectural Draftsperson, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD.
- Sound knowledge of residential construction methods and approval pathways, including DA, CDC, and CC processes.
- Solid understanding of Australian building regulations, codes, and standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.
- A creative mindset with strong technical drafting and design capabilities.
- Previous experience delivering residential projects will be highly regarded.
