This role is ideal for someone who enjoys producing accurate, build ready drawings for kitchens, shopfitting, and joinery projects, working closely with production and project teams.
You will be responsible for creating detailed cabinet and joinery drawings, managing Microvellum projects from concept through to manufacture, and ensuring designs meet both client expectations and production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate cabinet and joinery shop drawings using Microvellum
- Develop and maintain Microvellum libraries, assemblies, and standards
- Prepare CNC ready data and manufacturing documentation
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and client briefs
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and workshop staff
- Revise drawings based on feedback and site conditions
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality controls
- Proven experience as a cabinet/joinery draftsperson
- Strong working knowledge of Microvellum(essential)
- Solid understanding of cabinet construction methods and materials
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Good communication skills and a team oriented mindset
- CNC manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of commercial and/or high end residential joinery
- Experience liaising directly with clients or builders
- Salary up to $100,000 + super, dependent on experience
