CADET ESTIMATOR

An established residential home builder, with over 20 years’ experience delivering quality home builds and inclusive house & land packages across key land estates in NSW and QLD, is seeking an enthusiastic Cadet Estimator to join its growing team.

About the Role As a Cadet Estimator , you will support the estimation team in preparing accurate costings and tender documentation for residential construction projects. This is an excellent entry‑level opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in construction estimating while working alongside experienced professionals in a reputable builder environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed material, labour and subcontractor cost estimates
• Analyse drawings, specifications and scope of works to identify cost drivers
• Help compile bills of quantities and estimate summaries
• Support tender and pricing documentation preparation
• Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and confirmation
• Maintain accurate records of estimates and revisions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes

About You

• Tertiary studies in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building, or related discipline (completed or in progress)
• Strong interest in residential construction and cost planning
• Good numerical, analytical and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience using Databuild software preferred
